The Advanced IVF Techniques Available
ICSI
(intracytoplasmatic sperm injection). Where an individual sperm is injected directly in to an egg, this is proven to increase fertilisation rates and is used worldwide.
ASSISTED HATCHING
A procedure on the embryo which involves a hole being made in the shell of a developing embryo to aid the natural process of hatching.
IMSI
Intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection (IMSI) is viewing and selecting sperm using a high-magnification digital imaging microscope.
EMBRYO GLUE
Embryos are placed in a natural substance HYALURONAN which acts like a glue by increasing the chance of implantation.
PRP
Platelet rich plasma- to assist with and improve egg quantity and quality. Used predominantly in patients who have experienced recurrent implantation failure.
TESE
The extraction of sperm directly from the testicles using a fine needle technique. This is mainly offered to patines with little to no sperm in their ejaculate.
